Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP)
Nova Scotia, a small Canadian province located in the Maritime region of the country.
The province is one of four Atlantic Provinces. It offers plenty of coastline to explore including the famous Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse. Its capital city, Halifax, is known as a major center for culture and the arts, as well as for its high standard of living.
The NSNP is Nova Scotia’s Provincial Nominee Program. This program offers a pathway to applicants who have the skills and experience targeted by the province and may receive a Nova Scotia Provincial Nomination Certificate, which speeds up the overall immigration process.
The NSNP accepts applications under the following immigration streams:
- Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry
- Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry
- Skilled Worker Stream
- Entrepreneur
- International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream
Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry
Aligned with federal Express Entry system, you may qualify if you are a skilled worker who is already in the Express Entry pool and with job offer in Nova Scotia or has an eligible experience in an opportunity occupation in the province.
Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry
You may qualify in this stream you are a skilled worker with at least one-year experience working in Nova Scotia in a highly skilled occupation and wish to settle permanently in the province.
Aligned with federal Express Entry system, you may qualify if you are a skilled worker who has a relevant experience in an opportunity occupation in the province. This program is expected to open and close throughout the year due to controlled intake of applications that will allow NSNP to process each application correctly and efficiently.
Skilled Worker Stream
You may qualify in this stream you have a valid job offer from a Nova Scotia employer.
Entrepreneur Stream
You may qualify in this stream if you are an experienced business owner or senior business manager who wants to live in Nova Scotia. As an applicant you should be able to start a new business or buy an existing business and must be engaged in the daily operations of your business. Application of this stream is through invitation only.
International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream
You may qualify in this stream if you just recently graduated of any Nova Scotia university of the Nova Scotia Community College and have already started or bought a Nova Scotia business and had been running for at least a year.
